Profile of Matterhorn Group AG
Since 2018, the operations of the Burgergemeinde Zermatt, formerly known as the Matterhorn Group, have been part of the independent operating company Matterhorn Group AG.
Today, the Matterhorn Group is one of the largest employers in the region and employs approx. 300 staff in the winter. The hotels, restaurants and mountain inns of the Mattherhorn Group are located in the most beautiful locations in and around Zermatt – from 1600 to 3800 metres a.s.l.
The Group comprises a wide array of establishments – from a five-star hotel through to self-service restaurants. In total, the Matterhorn Group manages around 300 hotel beds and a catering seating capacity of over 5,600. It generates an annual turnover of around CHF 33 million.
